If there was only one tip that I could give about Twitter then it has to be diversity, in other words keep it fresh and diverse. All too often I come across twitter user’s who self promote to the extreme and don’t share the web. Twitter is for many, a simple online text tool that they can use to connect to their friends and family through their mobile phones or computers, and that’s fine. For the serious Internet Marketers who want to build up a sizable following then posting tactics are vital ways to reach out and engage, in other words a two way conversation. If you have the skill to communicate with your followers in a meaningful way by sharing your knowledge then followers will come flocking to your site. Below are some quick and easy tips to digest….

• How you post your tweets will determine who will follow you and who will ignore you.
• Be as diverse as possible by sharing useful links; do not just tweet about your latest blog post or product
• Stagger your Automated Tweets as much as possible covering the full 24 hour range
• Do Re-Tweet (RT) often as this will encourage other users to RT your links.
• If you Tweet sponsored links then keep it to a minimum of no more than once every hour.
• Keep your Tweets as short as possible or at least leave enough room for another user to add text to RT
• Make use of services like which allow you to setup time-stamped tweets and loads more.
• Be as Diverse as possible, nobody likes a boring Timeline
• Connect to other users if they connect to you, check who’s mentioned you through any number of applications like HootSuite or TweetDeck
