I have recently been doing some research on PTC sites to find out if it’s a feasible way to supplement your income. In some circumstances it would seem it might even be possible to earn enough to pack in your job, as with all online opportunities it is wise to check out as many sources as possible before you commit. A quick condensed introduction into PTC (paid to click) for those who have no idea what I’m talking about, quite simply PTC gives you the opportunity to earn extra cash by clicking on ads and waiting for 30 seconds, you are then credited with between .05 cent, 1cent, or up to 2 cents. Depending on your membership level you may purchase or rent referrals and when they click an ad you are credited as well, so in essence the more referrals you have the more money you can earn. There are different membership levels that offer extra benefits including more favourable payments and account management options.

For everyone out there in cyber space that has ever used PTC sites as a means to supplement their income they are well aware of the up’s and downs of their referrals actions or none actions. As the title of this article suggests it won’t work if you don’t click. Since referrals play a pivotal role in the success of any PTC venture it is wise to develop a strategy that is effective and allows you to earn enough money to make it worthwhile. In the end its simple math…the more referrals you have the more money you will make, although you do have to maintain a solid strategy as well.

Don’t bother if you’re not serious…

There is no point in joining a PTC site unless you are serious about making money, so for all those part timers…don’t bother.  A lot of people have their own impressions about PTC, some see it as a casual experience to earn the odd few quid here and there, and others see it as a viable source of income. Finding the right PTC site is vital especially in light of numerous scams and overnight failures that abound throughout the web.

NeoBux has been on the web now for over 18 months which is the most telling indicator of a PTC sites success. It is said to have over a million active members and counting and it has paid out over $15 million to its members. It is one of the very few PTC sites that pays its members instantly through PayPal or Alert pay…not many other PTC sites can claim this. It has its own forum where members can discuss strategies and post their success stories and statistics in many languages.

Starting out

If you do decide to give NeoBux a try there are a few things you need to take into account. First off don’t go thinking that this is a quick fix for all your financial worries…because it’s not. It will take time if you are low on cash, but if you have the resources it can be a lot quicker. For arguments sake we will presume that you don’t have a lot of money to invest and carry on accordingly. To be precise and to the point you need to invest to make money on any PTC site and NeoBux is no different, so you have to have the right mindset and take this into account.

Once you have signed up and registered you will be limited to a standard membership for around three weeks and must have at least clicked a 100 ads. The reason for this is to weed out the time wasters and to give you time to familiarise yourself with your account and how it all works, you can rent referrals while a standard member. Rented referrals are purchased in various blocks from 5 to 20, as a standard member you are allowed to rent up to 300 referrals. My advice is to rent out as many as you can afford at least up to the 300 limit. Once you have fulfilled your trial period as a standard member you can upgrade to Gold membership ($90). This gives you better earning potential doubling your pay for clicks and allows you to rent up to 2000 referrals.

Managing your account

To be successful you will need to get organised because as your referrals grow your account maintenance becomes essential. Recycling will be a daily task that clears away the non clickers and makes your account more efficient. There are many different strategies circulating around the NeoBux forum so take your time and explore, bear in mind that there are many members some new and some old…so use your common sense to look for more experienced users who have more insight.

Extending your referrals

You have three main options when extending your referrals; you can extend for 30, 60 or 90 days. The last option (90 days) is the most cost effective with Auto Renew turned off. This group of referrals that you have extended for 90 days has to be your top referrals, there’s no point extending referrals that don’t click, you will only lose out.

Direct Referrals

Direct referrals are what you need to get to give your earning potential a shot in the arm, why? Because they don’t cost you a penny to get and they don’t cost you anything to maintain…BUT and it’s a big but, if  your direct referrals don’t click on the ads then they are worthless and once they have gone 60 days without clicking then the system deletes them. So genuine motivated referrals are what you want…unfortunately it’s just plain old luck whether you get them.

Recycling

This part of PTC maintenance is absolutely essential and a necessary evil. We would all like to get by without having to recycle because it costs us money, but without it your overall costs will eat in to your profits. You will get days when you won’t have to recycle, this of course depends on how many rented referrals you have. As a rule once you get past 100 rented referrals you will be recycling on a daily basis.

Click your Ads

This is a no brainer, it makes sense to click your ads every day, if you don’t click them then you won’t get your referrals clicks…not Good. Whatever time your ads reset make sure to click them all and if you have time login again after clicking your ads because you may be lucky and get two or three more.

Judgement Call

This is all your responsibility; there is nobody out there that will hold you by the hand. In the end it’s your judgement that counts, just think about your referrals as people and not as numbers. Over time you will get better and more efficient when recycling referrals. If you need a guiding hand then go to the forum, there are plenty of experienced members who have been through it all.

Where I am at the moment!

At the moment I am on Gold membership with 420 referrals and stick to around 2.5% recycle rate, so far it is holding up well but you have to recalculate on a daily basis depending on you average clicks per day . I still have a long way to go and have factored in at least a year before I can start taking profit. I find it’s a good idea to set goals and so my first goal is to reach 500 referrals and then consolidate before moving on. Eventually I will get to the “Ultimate” membership which has huge benefits like 7 day auto recycling on none clickers and pays 2 cents for every click. Charting your progress is essential, so start a spreadsheet and keep it up to date, it can show you how well your strategy is holding up and whether you need to make adjustments.

There are members who do make a living from NeoBux and $1200 to $1500 a month is conceivable.  You can check out the forums for proof, just look for the payments threads.
