SAN RAFAEL, CA - FEBRUARY 14: A price reduct...

It’s important for both parties to know that when goods are sold, what are the price of the item and the timing of the payment. It’s also good to know what are the stipulations if any that apply to the return of merchandise. Different companies quote their prices by using different methods. A lot of merchants will generally quote the price that they will like to sell it.

On the other hand, some merchants such as manufacturers or wholesalers will usually quote their prices as a percentage of their catalogue prices, generally around 30 percent or more, and this reduction I known as a trade discount. For example, if something is listed as $1,500 with a trade discount of 30 percent or $450 then the seller writes the sell as $1050, and the buyer records it as $1050. From there the seller can raise or lower the price depending on the quantity that is being sold. The terms of sales are usually on the sale invoice and tell the type of terms to the agreement.

In a lot of industries the payment is expected within a short time of the purchase. If it’s for 15 days then the invoice will have “n/15” (net 15) or “n/20” (net 20) which means that the amount is due 15 or 20 days later. In most industries a discount is usually offered for an early payment. This type of discount is called a sale discount which has the purposes for increasing a seller liquidly by reducing the amount of money associated with accounts receivable. An invoice with a discount may look like “3/10, n/20,” which that the purchaser can pay within 20 days and receive a 30 percent discount, or they can pay within twenty days and pay the full price for it.  To read the rest of this article please follow this link >>>>>

“The wonderful benefits of having the knowledge”

Tech savvy individuals can earn money online right from the comfort of their own home by setting up p_001-180x180 Work For The Tech Savvywebsites for hapless individuals who want nothing more than to have their website but have absolutely no technical skills whatsoever. Many people would love nothing better than to have a website in which to sell products or even voice political or social views. There are many reasons why individuals want websites, not all of them have to do with business and selling. However, most individuals are willing to pay someone to set up a website for them.

Someone with the knowledge of the computer skills needed to not only design a full functioning website but also knows how to register the domain name and get a server can really make a lot of money advertising their services both online and on free ad lists such as Craig’s List. In addition to charging to set up the website, an individual can charge clients a fee for maintaining and hosting the website. There is really no end to making money at home on the internet for anyone who knows anything about computers.

In addition to setting up individual websites, a tech savvy independent entrepreneur can also use his or her skills to set up websites for local businesses. This may require soliciting local businesses, but once you get a few businesses to use your skills, you will be well on your way to having a booming online work from home business. You can charge business clients a bit more than you do individuals and chances are that they will need more help in maintaining the business website. A few business websites to maintain will be enough to get you started in your own online business.

Another option for a tech savvy individual with rudimentary writing skills is to write about technical issues for one of the many online writing sites that offer upfront money for articles about computer issues and technical advice. Use your knowledge of computers to make money for you in many different ways online, right from the comfort of your own home.

Technical writers are always in demand online. Technical writers tend to make more money than other writers online, particularly those who are experts in a certain technical field. If you consider yourself a computer expert, have the knowledge of how to set up websites and use codes to create graphics, you can make a nice living selling your services and knowledge to others online.
There is no limit as to how many people will want to use your services, particularly if you continue to educate yourself about any new technology in the computer world. Potential customers can include everyone from those in Fortune 500 companies to individual who want to sell items on Ebay but do not know how to use HTML codes to make their auctions stand out. And advertising your services can be done with ease and very little expense.

One way to promote such a business is to contact people who are struggling to make a living on online auctions with poorly written and unattractive auction pages. You can contact them through e-mail and send them a sample of what their page could look like if you were designing the auction page for them.
Another way to promote your business is to take a look at some of the smaller websites online that look poorly constructed. Offer your services as an expert website designer to those individuals or businesses and give them samples of what their website could look like.
If you are selling a service, such as website design, you should have a website of your own that is state of the art where you can refer potential customers. This can give people an idea of what you can do - it is similar to a resume.

Payments to you for your services can be done through Paypal or other online escrow services. You need never even leave your home and can have a thriving career right online in your own living room!
Anyone who wants to promote a service online must use every avenue available to sell that service. Advertising is not as effective as contacting customers directly and building a rapport with them. If you can get them to take a look at your work, you can get them hooked.

As for selling your technical expertise by writing, there are hundreds of different websites online who will be glad to pay you for your knowledge, even if your writing is not perfect. Associated Content is one that will pay writers for technical knowledge. Get a Freelancer is another website where someone with technical knowledge can get hundreds of freelance writing jobs relating to technical issues and computer knowledge. The sites pay directly to an online account or to Paypal and you do not have to even leave the comfort of your home. Best of all, you can work as hard as you want and the sky is the limit as to how much you can make.

There are many people online who will be glad to pay you for your knowledge, whether you actually do the work for them by setting up and maintaining a website, or write about different technological issues, there is plenty in demand for anyone with technical knowledge to share that knowledge. Those who have the knowledge can name their price and work online from the comfort of their own home, making a good living.

Reasons to be cheerful 1 - 2 … (Some Blog Revision)
For anybody who is not familiar with affiliate marketing, two-tier will probably be a new term to you. But to those who are involved in this kind of marketing; it means a reliable stream of income. Two-tier is a feature of any particular affiliate program where affiliates are allowed to sign-up additional affiliates below them. So that when the sub-affiliates otherwise known as second tier affiliates, earns a commission, the affiliate above receives a commission too.

In a two-tier system, the first tier of commission is just like the usual affiliate program. The sole difference is that it has an additional tier/ or sub-affiliate, whereby marketers also gain a commission once the people that the additional tiers referred to the program generate sales. Affiliate programs can have a multi-tier program with infinite number of levels; however, there are practical limitations. As tiers increase, the affiliate program draws more webmasters who are mostly interested in gaining profit from other’s work and effort.

Two-Tier affiliate programs are also recognized as Multi-Level Marketing. When you sign-up for an affiliate program, you are identified as the first tier and the person that you have recruited or encouraged to sign up is the second tier. If there are additional tiers, then the system can now be regarded as multi-level marketing (MLM). But today, MLM isn’t as effective and successful as it was several years ago. This is because at present, affiliates can freely select from thousands of affiliate programs and they can quickly switch from one program to another.

So if you want to use two-tier affiliate programs to your advantage and generate more income by encouraging sub-affiliates to sign-up below you, make sure that you carefully choose your affiliate merchant. Pick those merchants who generate a stable stream of high quality products. Make sure your merchant has a good tracking system and has a good reputation for looking after their affiliates. Look for the merchant who gives high visitors-to-sales conversion rate.

It’s also advisable that you find yourself a web merchant that has a user-friendly website which you can access anytime to monitor your statistics including visits and sales. And if possible, choose the one with powerful marketing tools which you can use in promoting their products.

Pick wisely or you will just be wasting your time and effort, worse still damaging your reputation. As soon as you start promoting a poor program it will reflect on you and your site. This is the reason why it’s so important to pick first-rate affiliate programs. Through these, you can not only build up a good relationship with your visitor, but also, you can easily get more tiers to sign-up under you. You should also be cautious of some affiliate programs that give more importance on the profits to be earned in taking on other affiliates than on the income from sales, because eventually someone has already closed those sales without informing you. Usually, this kind of affiliate program offers a very low first-tier payment but a sky-scraping second-tier commission.

If you want to start an affiliate program of your own, you have to decide whether it will be a single tier or two-tier affiliate program. Which of these two programs are better? Let’s look at the benefits you could get out of the two-tier affiliate program.

First off, your profit will increase due to increased sales from the customers that your second tier has referred. Second, you have a much broader customer base to which you can sell your products and services. You gain more stable income because the customers referred by your affiliate and sub-affiliates could develop a lifetime loyalty for your site and your products. Plus, you have an army of sub-affiliates who will promote and resell your products and services to their visitors and subscribers.

Two-tier programs are a proven winner and should be the number one choice for affiliates as well as for the affiliate program managers. So I hope you can now see the advantages of two-tier affiliate programs.
As Spok would say live long and prosper.

How Does That Grab You? album cover

“The snowball effect”

Grab the branding rights to a viral e-book and allow people to give away your free e-book to their site visitors. Then, their visitors will also give it away free. And you will continue to spread your ad all over the Internet. (Sowing the seeds to reap the harvest)

If you have the ability to set up a forum or other bulletin board, you really have a great tool. This allows people to use your online discussion board for their own website. Some people just don’t have one. Make sure to include your banner ad at the top of the board.

If you have a knack for web design; Create some templates, graphics, etc. and upload them to your site. Then, allow people to give away your free web design graphics, fonts, templates, etc. Just include your ad on them or require people to link directly to your web site. Make sure that you include a link back to your site in the copyright notice and require them to keep your copyright notice in tact.

Write an e-book, allow people to place an advertisement in your free e-book if, in exchange, they give away the e-book to their site visitors or e-zine subscribers.

Write articles that relate to your product or service. Allow people to reprint your articles on their website\Blog, in their e-zine, newsletter, magazine or e-books. Include your resource box and the choice for article reprints at the bottom of each article.

You can easily find products on the Internet that will sell you a license allowing you to distribute the product free of charge to other people. The web is awash with giveaways; look for those products that provide “branding rights”. This is where you can include your own name, website, and contact information. Work on your research and don’t rush in until you are satisfied with all aspects of the branding and copyright process.

triggit_500px-180x180 Using Triggit Inline Text Ads

Just another ad network or perhaps something else!

I just added Triggit to my network, now initially I had reservations about adding text links because of slow page loads and clashes with Google T.O.S. Another reason I didn’t like using them was the hover bubbles that appear, personally for me this distracts the reader and spoils the concentration. Another plus in my books is the one underline as opposed to the traditional two underlines used by the likes of kontera, to date there are no issues with Google’s T.O.S.

The Triggit Ads on WWAH came on right away but are yet to show up on any other blogs and websites in my network. WWAH was the WordPress Blog that I used when I signed up to Triggit so perhaps this is normal and in due course ads will appear on the rest of my network.

What got my interest piqued were Jeremy Schoemaker 98 comments not bad for feedback (-: his interview with Triggit’s CEO Zach recently convinced me to try it out.
There was a lot of negative feedback from Schoemaker’s comments, mostly on technical issues, but I have had no problem thus far. WordPress integration was a little bit tricky; you have to put the JavaScript in to the header for it to appear throughout your blog. By far the easiest platform to install the code is Blogger which as usual for Google is automated.

Triggit Overview
Using Triggit you get paid for connecting your users to websites that are related to your content. Triggit automatically creates links in your text that point to relevant pages that your users will find useful.

What kind of Ads
Triggit currently works with dozens of providers with millions of in-text ads from content links, to search, products, related information and more!

Payments
Triggit pays you every two months (net-60) in $USD via PayPal once your balance gets over $25.00. To get paid, make sure you have all your contact information and tax reporting information completed fully.

So to round off I will be monitoring the campaign to see if it works for me, if the results are bad I will pull it off and move on.
Let me know if you have tried Triggit or any other text ad supplier. Thanks’ for reading

The main Google page as of June 2008*Image via Wikipedia*

First up I would like to invite fellow bloggers and affiliate marketers to join me in this discussion and give me your honest opinion about affiliate marketing. Oops that sounds scary! This article assumes that you are fairly new to affiliate marketing, so bear that in mind! So without further ado;

Lets clear up all the misconceptions about affiliate marketing, we have all seen those squeeze pages proclaiming how easy it is to make tons of  profit in no time at all. And the so called gurus want us to believe that their program is the best thing since sliced bread and will blow the competition away.

“The Clock is Ticking Buy NOW”
“This offer won’t stay at this price for long”

The list goes on and on!!!! To top all that if you subscribe to any number of newsletters concerning marketing then you should be an expert on sales pitch copyright.

Anybody who has tried marketing a product, isn’t going to get rich overnight doing affiliate marketing. There is just way too much competition for this to happen. Affiliate marketing isn’t an easy cash source that’s going to just drop bundles of loot into your lap with no effort. You will find the affiliate opportunities that work the best are the ones that you find yourself. If done properly, like testing and researching your market and customers, or networking with business development.

For instance take free traffic, it’s not completely over but it is fading fast, when you consider the pace of the Internet it’s not surprising. You can work hard to create pages that score high in the search engines and put lots of graft into your site, but by paying for clicks and focusing on Google and Overture (Yahoo) you will have the top three positions on all search engines that really count on the Internet.

Without doubt you need to be at the top end of Google and Yahoo to really generate traffic. These search engines will drive quality targeted traffic as long as you pay close attention to your PPC (Pay Per Click) strategy.

Yahoo, and especially Google are the best key drivers of qualified traffic on the Internet. Pay per click search engines let you quickly test drive different affiliate offers and new landing pages on your site. You can stay away from top competitive keywords for $1 to $2 per click. Niche marketing on Yahoo and Google works but you need to get the right niche and do your keyword and phrase research.

Instead of just sending traffic away and hoping for the best, you should have your own email list to which you can send multiple offers. Sending offers to your own email list is the true way to build freedom and residual income. You can achieve this by:

· Using subscription forms on your web site

· Using co-registrations or co-op marketing campaigns

· Buying email lists (Safelists or specifically targeted lists)

Effective affiliate marketing involves paying for traffic in one shape or another, you just can’t get away from this.

To accelerate your income, you need to invest wisely in advertising and get the most mileage out of every one of them.

So what do you think! im sure there are thousands; scratch that millions of affiliate marketers and bloggers who have some strong opinions on this matter.  So leave a comment”"i_034 The Hard Truth about Affiliate MarketingIf there are any successfull affialtes out there, then please post your opinion (yes i know there are some out there)

Conclusion ;  I think in the end it all comes down to hard work and parting with some cash, especially on the promotion side, and depending of course on your own resources. There are many other equations that come into the picture including good content whether it be a blog or website. And of course having a plan of action and strategy is absolutely vital if you want to survive in this cut-throat business.

nternet. Blog often and provide unique, fresh, entertaining, accurate, and relevant information. That’s the content of virtually all of those articles, but this information is only going to get you so far.

The information they provide will help you drive traffic to your blog, as long as you stick at it, and some of the more in depth articles may even give you a basic shove in the right gold paved direction. However, there will come a time when you’re ready to take your blog to the next level.

Wordpress And Why We Believe It’s Essential For A Successful Blog

First off, I feel this has to be said - if you’re not using Wordpress then it’s highly likely that you’re missing out. Wordpress has the biggest collection of plugins, themes, and other features of any blogging platform and, of course, it’s free. Rather than spend money on using another blogging platform, save your dollars to pay for a custom design or get help with marketing.

What Plugins Do For You

The Last Kind Words album cover
Image via Wikipedia

Plugins represent the greatest time saving addition to your blog, as well as the greatest opportunity to add increased features and functions that will help you take your blog to the next level. To really succeed in blogging for money, you need to start treating your blog like any website owner treats their website. This means you have to look at it like a business.

A Small Selection Of Top Notch Plugins

Wordpress plugins offer a huge range of different functions and features that you couldn’t otherwise obtain. We’ve listed a few of what we believe to be the more important here but there are many others:

Google Sitemaps - The Google Sitemaps plugin automatically creates an XML sitemap, which can be submitted to many of the major search engines. It will also automatically inform them (ping) when you add any new posts or pages to your blog.

Firestats - There are several in-depth stat packages available as plugins but our personal favorite is the Firestats package. It is crucial that you track and act on the stats for your website. Knowing how your readers found your site can help you with promotion and improve your profit levels by giving you a clearer picture of exactly what your visitors are looking for. It’s also good to know the topics that are working out and those that aren’t.

Social Bookmarking - The social bookmarking plugin adds the links to the bottom of your posts that lets readers quickly and conveniently bookmark a post with their preferred social bookmarking site. Some of these sites can help you generate traffic and even improve your search ranking.

All In One SEO - The All In One SEO plugin enables you to add a title, description, and keywords to each of your posts. These can help improve search engine results and make your posts appear cleaner in the search results. It can also be used to ensure that visitors are highly targeted.

Related Entries - It’s important to get traffic flowing around your posts because the more of your site a person views, the more likely they will be to click affiliate links or Adsense links. If your blog is entirely related to your business, they will be more likely to buy your products or pay for your services.

Adsense Deluxe - Don’t let the name fool you. Adsense Deluxe provides a fast and efficient method of adding Adsense code to any post or page, with just a single tag, but it also does the same for Yahoo Publisher Network (YPN) ads.

Comment Subscription - The big benefit of a blog is that you can often persuade interested visitors to keep returning to your corner of the net. The comment subscription plug in further enables them to sign up and be notified of any responses to comments they have added.

Monetizing Your Blog

If you want to make money from your blog and you have a reasonable amount of traffic then the methods of advertising you use will quickly become an important topic to you. There are a lot of different ways to monetize a blog, and it would be damaging of me to try and tell you exactly what method will work without knowing at least a little about your blog. However, there are some things we will willingly share.

Don’t Sell Out - There’s a temptation for those with more mature blogs to write a post and review an item, website, or service and get paid for doing so. Our opinion on this can be summed up in pretty much one word or two; “don’t” or “do not”. You might think that you can write a genuinely informative piece and be completely open and honest without your readers ever realizing what you are doing but it is highly unlikely that this is the case.

Sponsorship - Sponsored advertising is a great way to monetize some blogs. Generally speaking (and there are exceptions), the more specific the topic of a blog, the more likely this will prove to be a viable advertising solution and it may be easier to bag sponsored ads than you think. And, because this is Wordpress, there are plugins that help you do it too (AdServe is a good one).

Affiliate Data Feeds - Most affiliate networks have some form of data feed or affiliate feed. If you intend to promote affiliate programs then make the most of these, but ensure that the feed fits with your site. Don’t just slap up a bit of code and expect it to miraculously turn your hobby blog into a multi-million dollar, award winning blog because it takes careful planning, ad placement optimization, and some trial and error to get the best results. Guess what? There are numerous plugins to use with the Amazon affiliate program and other programs so make the most of them.

Blog Networks

The final point we’re going to cover in this, now extensive, article is whether or not you should join a blog network. A blog network is, unsurprisingly, a network of blogs. The overall aim and the method that connects the blogs differs with each network. Some may be connected by having different subdomains on the same main domain. Others may simply use the same banner. Similarly, some networks are established to bring profit to bloggers and (understandably) to the network owner. Other networks want nothing more than to promote a near state of hippie euphoria over one particular topic.

To Join Or Not To Join

It seems to have become a habit but we can’t honestly tell you whether you should definitely join, or definitely not join, a blogging network. They work out for some by providing traffic, improving search rankings, and even helping out with the general blogging process. However, other blogs would fare better on their own, especially the more popular ones. Similarly, some networks are so powerful that they can generate thousands of hits to a blog instantly before you even submit a post, while your blog may carry a smaller network if you have good traffic levels.

The reason that a lot of bloggers do join a network is so that they can network with other bloggers. It provides a sense of belonging and can help develop blogging relationships. If you get invited or accepted into a particularly large network then you should consider trying it because it really can pay dividends but be warned that the large networks have pretty stringent guidelines that you must adhere to in order to be accepted.

What’s Next For Your Blog?

This article covers some of the blogging factors that you need to look at when you consider taking your blog to the next level. Simply posting good content will often help you build traffic, but that’s really all it will do. You need to monetize that traffic, and where possible, keep it returning over and over again. You should also employ some methods of further building your traffic, other than posting good posts.

Affiliate marketing is a revenue sharing partnership between a web merchant and one or more affiliates. The affiliate is paid a commission for referring clicks, leads or most often sales to the merchant. An affiliate’s advantage is that he can make money in a business where he doesn’t have the upfront costs of creating his own product, and he doesn’t have to worry about e-commerce, bookkeeping, or even customer support for it is the merchant’s responsibility, thank the lord.

A good money making hobby can let you treat your family and friends or maybe even quit your current job. This is why many of us today go online to start a business; the reasons being to supplement our income or to gradually replace our offline income from their job. Affiliate marketing is a great way to start in making money online.

It’s a great thought to be an affiliate marketer with all the benefits that accompany this position. But, do you have what it takes to be an affiliate marketer? Before you begin your venture into affiliate marketing, you need to decide first which area is of interest to you. What products do you know about and which products do you think you could sell? Once you discover your prowess, perseverance, patience and determination comes next. These are the qualities you should possesses to be a good affiliate marketer.

Too many online business seekers lose out because they become impatient and lose interest too soon. You also need to know what your strengths are, the things in which you are good at and your capabilities and abilities related to your chosen niche. And a key point to remember is to have a strong desire to succeed in affiliate marketing or any online venture.

Being an affiliate marketer is not as easy as everybody would have you believe. You have to learn the techniques of marketing your product or service. You should be focused and not looking at every affiliate program on the net; marketing is all about capturing you to look at this or that particular opportunity. To be a successful affiliate marketer, you should learn how to listen and to be taught because in life we all need to learn skills to get by.

For an affiliate marketer, you should know how to market your site effectively; this will enable you to get thousands of visitors coming to your site which can return more sales. When you build your website you should look at the process in a measured way, don’t expect overnight success. You should avoid the same mistakes some affiliates make every day; some are only building a short-term business where they just make a small sale. Make sure that you understand that you will be building a long-term affiliate business and not just something that makes you a few dollars on one sale.

It’s also better to have a knowledge on how to upsell to your visitors for further services. This will in turn make you more recognized as an expert in your field and earning revenue will be easier. Newbie’s sometime’s get the impression that just by having affiliate links on their website will bring them instant profits. This can have some truth to it, but then most successful affiliates still believe that making use of strong marketing campaigns for their affiliate programs is still important. But affiliate marketers become much more successful when they treat their customers or online visitors as friends. Make a commitment to establish relationships with your customers and especially with visitors to your site. It is very important for an affiliate marketer to have a good business relationship with customers or visitors.

You should also be creative and diversify to broaden your reach. The real key to being successful with affiliate marketing is to develop a good content based website and weave your affiliate links into all your content. You have to provide your prospects with good, quality content to keep them coming back to your site. There are many more ways to market and sell your product but selling yourself is perhaps one of the most important aspects of affiliate marketing today. So, do you have what it takes to be an affiliate marketer? Sure you do!

f5ecbanner234 Leveraging The Power of The Gurus

This is my Gripe at so called Gurus and their latest “nobody’s done it before” offer, my inbox is overflowing with repeat after repeat of so called oto’s (one time offers) and time limited offers. In fact a good percentage of these offers are just rehashed old products with a new name. But that being said there are some really great realistic offers out there; it’s just a case of sorting out the gems from the dross. You have to do your homework and think sensibly about the product on offer and ask yourself, how is it going to benefit me? What’s the cost involved and how easily and quickly will it produce profit?

Once you have answered all of the questions above and you still want to go ahead, Okay time to get a reality check! Unless you have deep pockets then you will have your work cut out. You need an edge over the competition and one good way to achieve this is by joining forces with other likeminded marketers. Joint ventures are a prime example of collaborating to gain you valuable mailing lists and links for your product. Read Previous Post on Giveaway Events

Gurus’ are so vain about their wealth and showing it off, every time I get an invite to look at some big cheesy gurus s latest bestest offer I cringe; because I know that they will get to the point where they just have to show a snapshot of their PayPal account or some other bullshit look for yourself here is the proof piece of evidence, then you’ll say oh wow I must join up; “NOT”. They just can’t help themselves, doesn’t it ever occur to them that the vast majority of people are not idiots and like me would rather watch paint dry than read all that dribble.

I tell you what though; when I do have the time to review and check out what’s on offer I look for sensible squeeze pages and products to promote; You know, not the ones that are about the length of a football pitch and blabber constantly about their PayPal accounts or have testimonial after testimonial; God if I ever see another testimonial in my life I will jump out the window. That being said if you didn’t have testimonials then people would be less likely to buy, but sensible use of testimonials is preferred.

No I mean something that really gets my marketing juices flowing something that stands out from the crowd and delivers the real McCoy. And I just have to say for me; getting something that I can use to further my own knowledge in my own online endeavours has to be “How to” Videos or specific technical online courses laid out in a constructive way with informative step by step instructions. Let’s face it we don’t all have the advantage of a technical background and this is one of many areas where a lot of people just give up. Visit this Video Tutorial Website to watch some examples. Oh ok there are a few testimonials but they are short and concise

Remember your customer has preconceived ideas & concepts of what they are reading or viewing, so you have to sell to their Human Nature. That’s it then; this is in my humble opinion is the main key to success. Or is it! Well this is certainly one of the key concepts but there are many more. All of the traditional methods of conveying your message still need to be used to utilize this human nature.

Proven Sales, Marketing, and Advertising tips and resources that tap into the incredible power of human nature appeal. Use these tools wisely and with vigour to connect with people, it sounds fairly straight forward and it is. So ingrained concepts & ideas, serve us well in our everyday lives no matter what the subject is.

Replacing preconceived notions with new ideas is often exactly what you have to do to sell your products & services. I hope you enjoyed this post and give some serious thought to your online endeavours, Remember nothing happens overnight unless you’ve just won the lottery.

Visualization of the various routes through a ...*Image via Wikipedia*

In essence, PPC advertising is all about bidding for the top or leading position on search engine results and listings. Advertisers do this by buying or bidding on keyword phrases that are relevant to their products or services - the higher the bid, the higher the spot on the search results, the more the people will find the ad (and click on it) to go to their websites (this is why some people call it “keyword auctioning”). Advertisers would then pay the bidding price every time a visitor clicks through the website.

PPC stands for Pay-Per-Click - a popular advertising technique on the Internet. Found on websites, advertising networks, and especially on search engines, PPC advertising involves sponsored links that are typically in the form of text ads. These are usually placed close to search results, where an advertiser pays a particular amount to visitors who click on these links or banners and land on the advertiser’s web page.

PPC advertising is also known under the following names/variations:

  • Pay per placement
  • Pay per performance
  • Pay per ranking
  • Pay per position
  • Cost per click (CPC)

PPC advertising is usually done with the following standard procedures:

  1. Setting up an account and/or deposit funds.
  1. Creating a keyword list.
  1. Choosing (and setting up) an account with a PPC search engine.
  1. Bidding on the ad placement, including the search result words or phrases.
  1. Writing out an ad copy.
  1. Setting up the ‘landing pages’ for your ads.
  1. Placing the advertisement in the search engine.

There are many benefits to Pay Per Click advertising, making it an effective way of promoting a business ‘online’. Some of them are listed below:

  • Get launched immediately. PPC advertisements are implemented very quickly - they can go ‘online’ within an hour after winning the bid and paying for it.
  • Obtain specific, pre-qualified, and quality traffic. PPC provides you with a quality or a well-targeted traffic. Visitors are narrowed down into ‘qualified’ people who are actually looking for specific products and/or services that you offer - those who are more likely to become a ‘lead’ (a convert) and complete a transaction (either by buying your product or subscribing to the service that you are offering.
  • Widen your reach. PPC advertising provides additional traffic to your site, aside from the natural or “organic” search engines.
  • Track your investment. PPC advertising makes use of a tracking system that will determine exactly who comes to the website and what they do once they arrive - the length of their stay on the site and the number of pages (including the actual pages) that they view. These are valuable tools in determining statistics such as return on investment (ROI), acquisition cost-per-visitor, and conversion rates (the percentage of visitors who are converted into customers or leads).

Below are some important things to consider when planning on a pay per click campaign:

1. Know your product.

Take an inventory of the product and/or services that you have to offer (before anything else).

2. Stay within the budget.

Determine your daily or monthly budget; and stay with it. This means keeping your budget in mind, avoiding bidding wars if possible.

3. Bid just right.

Know how to bid right - a bid that is too high can exhaust all of your money, while a bid that is too low can make you lose that spot.

4. Watch the bottom line.

Measure your profit margin against your spending or expenses. Know when to stop and terminate your PPC program - if you spend more on advertising but have little or no sales at all.

5. Find the right keywords.

Decide which keyword phrases to opt and bid for. Do some keyword research, either by actually looking at existing search terms or with the use of online keyword suggestion tools, to know which terms are mostly used when searching for items that are related to your business. Focus on specific keywords, not on general ones.

6. Write effective ads.

A good PPC ad is that which can persuade and move a searcher. There are several approaches to this:

*Discount offers *Testimonials* Celebrity/famous endorsers* Money-back guarantees*

* Free trials or sample offers* Freebies* Reverse psychology* Major benefits (”Lose weight”)*

* Direct instructions (”Click here”)

7. Maintain a professional-looking site.

Your web content should be regularly updated and checked for spelling and grammatical errors. There should be no broken links or images. The website should be simple - designed in such a way that it will be easy for visitors to navigate and load. Include contact details to create a good impression among potential customers.

As buyers, we demand social proof. Only a small percentage of the population gets excited about being the first to try something new.  That’s why there is no more effective salesperson than an existing customer. Getting your customers to testify, in the market is money in the bank! How to get testimonials

Often, new business owners will struggle getting these all-important testimonials. Or at least good ones that are effective selling tools.

Here are three ways to get them, by asking for them.

1. After you’re finished delivering on your promises, you approach your customer & say something like this.

‘Are you happy with your purchase? If yes, you continue, ‘I was wondering if you’d do me a favour & just write me a brief note about your experience, in particular the part about _________, and ___________.’

These blanks are critically important. You need testimonials that are specific. And you need them to reflect your Unique Selling Proposition, so that when you use them in your marketing, they reinforce your sales message as powerfully as possible. So what’s your USP?

Now, if your customer is happy, you will almost always get a positive response when you ask for a testimonial. But if you stop there, you will always wait & wait for your all important ’social proof’, until even you have forgotten about it.

You MUST take this one additional step.

Immediately after your customer agrees to give you a testimonial, you say. ‘I know you’re busy, would you mind if I were to write the letter for you, & then give it to you for editing before your assistant puts it on your letterhead, & gives it back to me? 97% of the time you will have the testimonial of your dreams within a week.

2. You can offer gifts to customers who will take the time to provide you with a testimonial. Be careful with how you word this though.

You do not want to give the impression that you are giving gifts in exchange for the testimonials themselves.

You are simply compensating your customers for their time, you are coaxing out testimonials.
You are giving people an opportunity to express themselves without putting themselves out.

3. You can get third party testimonials from industry experts, sometimes called ‘endorsements’.

This is particularly effective, & surprisingly easy.

Here’s how it works.

You find your expert, and you buy something from them.
You can even do this by just participating in the front end of their marketing efforts. Either way, here’s what you do.

You send them an honest testimonial that is acutely targeted to supporting their USP.
And under your signature, you say. PS, You are interested in ___________. I was wondering if you would be so kind as to accept one of our ________, for your personal use, without charge. It will help you to __________. If you like it, it would mean a lot to me if you would give me your opinion of it.

You will be amazed by the responses you get with this simple yet highly effective approach. The real class acts will respond to you, and when you set it up this way, they will know exactly what you are after. If you have a good product, you’ll get what you need fast.

Remember this. People love to give advice. They love to offer their opinion. It makes them feel important. As a last thought why not leverage some of your better commentators from your blog, as long as you approach each individual with courtesy and use the points outlined above then you might be pleasantly pleased with the response.

Im’ sure there are many other ways, including paid for testimonials but for me I think the honest approach is the best.

What are your thoughts on this subject? Please feel free to comment.

Just how easy is it to Sell Clickbank Products or any products for that matter on the web? You know you have a market of eager prospects who want your product. Let’s take a look at some options…gro_03 Get Your Message out and sell your products

Exposure is everything which means you have to get your product seen and heard about; just how many ways can you think of to advertise your products? If you spend some time with this thought then you should come up with quite a list.

Let’s start with search engines- Paid inclusion if used wisely can pay big dividends, keywords are important, just say to yourself; what keywords would I use to search for something, in fact a good idea is to experiment by typing in the keywords of your product and check out the competition thus giving you a better chance to see what works and what doesn’t. Set your budget and monitor your stats, this is especially useful for future campaigns.

If you have an optin-list then you know you have to leverage this priceless resource with a carefully planned out campaign, don’t just blast out messages every day instead do it in 3 to 4 day intervals, craft each message different to the last, building up your credibility and expertise. Make your message compelling and unforgettable.

Forums are a great way to get targeted prospects to bite, find an appropriate discussion thread and make out your bio signature box, spend some time doing this right; there is nothing worse than a tacky signature. Explore the different groups to find the right one then introduce yourself; you should aim to post to at least three different forums promoting your product each time in your signature box.

If you have a blog then post an article about all the benefits of the product, offer a free enticement to draw your prospects interest. Leave comments on other related blogs with your anchor text for linking back to your blog and thus your product. If you have more than one blog then use this valuable space further to promote your product, you don’t have to go overboard just be subtle and thoughtful how you use your space.

Your own website if you have one can be used as a springboard to link to all of your products and affiliate programs past and present. You can designate one page specifically to your product and drive traffic through this page with upsell offers to entice your prospect further.

Squeeze Pages are a great way to boost your campaign further by pinpointing each specific product on its own merit. Make sure your copywriting stands out and do some research on your layout, I find that it is a good idea to put shortcuts that lead directly to your download link as people can and will be put off with a long and lengthy squeeze pages, Remember if they are coming from another of your sources perhaps one of your blogs then they already have a fair idea what’s on offer.

Social network and book marketing sites are an absolute goldmine for traffic and prospects but do your research wisely and don’t annoy people that have no interest in your product. If you are using MyBlogLog to message members of your community then a little tactfulness will go a long way.

Sites like StumbleUpon and Digg alone can bring massive returns in traffic and potential sales.

By writing great reviews in an informative and enlightening way without the sales pitch you will benefit greatly in return traffic to your blog or website, it only needs a few influential readers to spread the word to get the viral message out.

Other resources you can use: Squidoo lenses or Hub Pages, Safelists, Click exchanges,

titlesmall-180x176 Get More Buyers

Found this Great Review from Paul Mihai Pavel

As you may or may not know, all of my reviews are blunt and as honest as I can be. If there’s something wrong or something I don’t like, you’ll be the first to hear about it and I might even suggest a better alternative.

But the truth is that Michael Rasmussen (the creator of this product) is such a smart marketer and does a great job of bringing the real meat of online marketing into the light. In this product, he delivers professional quality video that cuts straight to the chase and is so painfully easy to understand that you really cannot go wrong.

His techniques are far from theory and hype and come from someone who clearly has many years of experience in out of the box thinking when it comes to making money online.

Although I feel there were parts that were a little light on content, overall this video course is well worth your time and investment if you are sick of trying to find traffic and responsive buyers to market to. Although some techniques may be familiar to more experienced marketers, I would say this is a real eye opener to beginners and also to struggling intermediate marketers.

Bottom line is, if you can’t get traffic and sales then this will help you to break free from that annoying rut once and for all, I can assure you. The best part is, most of the techniques that Michael covers are win-win for everybody involved, from you, your partners to the end customer.
