Amplify your Network Status with Twitter & FaceBook

If you work at home this is a great social networking micro blogging thingy!! Well ok I will explain….

I got into this new application “Amplify” through David Szetela on Friend Feed (Thanks’ David). I have been using Amplify since last Friday and I love it, you’ve got to try it out.

Amplify uses the WordPress MU engine so you can post like you would in your own WP admin. It is so easy to use, simply rollover any text and click the block you want. To make full use of this application you need to download the Firefox extension, once installed set up your profile and any other preferences see below.

As you can see there are plenty of options to play about with, what I also like is the ability to share your clog and allow others to contribute thus building your community. You can set up as many clogs as you want, perhaps you can categorize posts into Design, Social Media, Breaking News… the list is endless. Another excellent option is to link your Amplify account with Bit.ly, this way you can keep track of all your links.

Amplify was developed by the same company that created Clipmarks.com. The Company’s philosophy on information sharing is comprised of three main principles: (i) people can do a better job than algorithms of filtering the massive amount of information that’s available on the web; (ii) serendipitous discovery is often more compelling than information organized by topic; and (iii) limiting the length of shared content allows people to learn about more topics than they would otherwise have time or patience for. This is an excellent micro blogging platform that harnesses the power of WP MU, and at the same time links up with your Twitter, FaceBook and Delicious accounts. You could go the whole hog and just publish posts and articles that you have expanded on through Amplify, there’s no limit to how long your posts are, and you can make them short or long. If I were just starting out into blogging and social networking then this amazing service would be ideal.
